The Ord Dam is a further 45 klms up river and fronts Lake Argyle. We were fortunate to have neighbours, John and Trish, take us up the river on a day trip. John, Trish, Susan and I on a sandy beach having a picnic lunch. We are about 35 klms up river from Kununurra. We caught a few sootie grunter just to keep our skills honed. Susan came prepared to swim, but although there are not supposed to be crocs in this section of the river it looks much too threatening. Smart girl did not swim, much to my relief.
